Advanced Technology & Services

It seems that technology makes leaps and bounds on a daily basis, but our team at Sebastian Dental is keeping up with the advancements made in dental technology. We implement the most innovative devices and techniques in our dental office to make sure that our patients receive the highest quality of care available. With us, you can expect to experience faster diagnosis, more accurate planning, more comfortable treatment, and so much more.

TMJ/TMD Therapy

The joint that attaches your lower jaw to the skull is one of the most complexes in your body. When you experience problems with it, daily oral functions can become much more difficult and painful. If you have jaw pain or chronic headaches in the morning, you may have a TMJ disorder (TMD). At Sebastian Dental, we can provide treatment, including splints and nightguards, that can relax these muscles and alleviate your symptoms.

Nitrous Oxide Dental Sedation

Do dental visits make you nervous? Caring for your smile doesn’t have to be stressful, which is why we offer nitrous oxide sedation. Also called laughing gas, nitrous oxide is inhaled through a nasal mask and starts working within minutes. Our team will periodically check on you to make sure that you stay perfectly comfortable. This common sedation method puts your mind at ease and helps you relax during your treatment, and it is even gentle enough to be used on children.

Intraoral Camera

When the dentist has told you that you had a cavity or some other issue in the past, have you ever wanted to see it for yourself? At Sebastian Dental, you can! With our intraoral cameras, we can show you exactly where the problem is and more fully explain your treatment options to resolve it. With this technology, you can make more confident decisions and know that you’re doing the right thing for your smile.

Digital X-Rays

X-rays reveal areas that we can’t readily see with the naked eye. Although traditional x-rays took time to be developed with harsh chemicals, luckily, this isn’t the case anymore. When we take your x-rays, we use digital technology, which allows our dentist to examine the image right away and diagnose problems sooner. Digital x-rays also expose you to less radiation and don’t involve chemicals, making them safer for your health and the environment.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

In the past, when the trouble with a smile had to do with the gums or other soft tissues in the mouth, dentists had to use a scalpel and sutures to make adjustments. At Sebastian Dental, we use a soft tissue laser to remove infected tissue, lessen the appearance of a “gummy” smile, and treat gum disease with incredible precision. Also, this device is so gentle that many patients don’t even need a local anesthetic and can experience little to no bleeding, leading to faster healing.
